Sprawl!

urban sprawl- the uncontrolled expansion of urban areas (aka suburbia)

Last Tuesday, the Cento Città class went to Florence's outskirts to see sprawl in action (because there isn't enough of it in Jersey?)

IKEA. This could be Elizabeth... if it weren't for the stunning mountains in the distance.

Sprawl can be fun!

San Giovanni Battista (dell'Autostrada) by Michelucci, built on highway A11 for those who died during its construction. Very modern, and beautiful.

Terrible fake-Renaissance outlet mall, Barberino.

The Mandragola

Bizarre poster I made for the play at school... background look familiar?

Imperial Rome

Up the stairs to the Duomo's cupola.

Hell: ''Good thing it doesn't exist, I only know a handful of people who wouldn't go there.''

The top...

Favorite part of the Uffizzi- Titian's Venus of Urbino.
